Usually the following documents are required: the energy performance certificate (APE), the report for the notary drawn up by a qualified technician, confirming, amongst other things, the conformity of the building. As certificates of conformity for installations made after 1990 are mandatory, the buyer may claim to receive them. If the seller does not have them, such certificates have to be established, but this has a cost.
